Growing up, Paul liked to build things. For many years, he worked as a carpenter. Today he uses that know-how to construct stories. Paul got his start as a research assistant to best-selling author Thomas Moore. He then teamed up with musician Pete Seeger for Pete Seeger’s Storytelling Book and the picture books: Abiyoyo ReturnsSome Friends to Feed, and The Deaf Musicians, winner of the ALA Schneider Family Book Award.

Jennifer and Paul are a husband and wife writing team. They are the authors of many picture books, as well as the Animal Inn and Mack Rhino series. They have two kids, a mouse-catching dog, and a dog food-eating cat. They all live in Massachusetts.
